Sigur Ros are a unique rock band from Iceland with a style reminiscent of ambient ethereal sounds and rhythmic instrumentations and beautiful vocal lyrics creating an atmospheric sound that is touching and dreamlike.

Sigur Ros is currently on a world tour playing concerts across Europe, North America and Asia and are playing sold out venues all over on this popular tour.

Sigur Ros formed in 1994 in Iceland and released the song “Von” on Smekkleysa records (which was the same label for Bjork’s band The Sugarcubes). “Von” was also the namesake for Vonlenska, which is the vocal gibberish lyrics that flow with the music and are more concerned with sound and music than actual language.

2008 saw the Sigur Ros release of “Med sud i eyrum vid spilum endalaust” which translates into English as “With a Buzz in our Ears We Play Endlessly”, and all MP3’s are available for download at their website at SigurRos.com. The first video for the album is for the song “Gobbledigook”, a beautiful rhythmic almost folky song that evokes images of being free with the wind in your hair life is to enjoy.
